The Man of Lawlessness, the Beast, the Son of Destruction
Introduction
The Bible does not leave us in the dark about the Antichrist. Scripture gives us a detailed prophetic portrait so God’s people can recognize him when he appears. He is not just “a bad guy” – he is the ultimate counterfeit Christ, empowered by Satan, who will deceive the world and persecute the saints before Christ returns in victory.

1. His Identity & Nature
- He is a Beast – Fierce, brutal, and destructive (Dan 7:7; Rev 13:1-2; 17:8, 11).
- He is a Horn – A powerful ruler who rises among ten kings (Dan 7:8, 20, 24; 8:9).
- He is a King – The final ruler of a revived empire (Dan 7:23-24; 8:23; Rev 17:9-10).

The Antichrist will be the greatest deceiver and persecutor in history, but his time is short. He is already restrained (2 Thess 2:6-7), and his end is certain:
“The beast was seized, and with him the false prophet… these two were thrown alive into the lake of fire…” (Revelation 19:20)
